Steven “Boogie2988” Williams is an American YouTuber with over three million subscribers who lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born on July 24, 1974, which means he is 42 years old. Boogie2988 is a gaming channel who posts videos on a variety of different video games. He also does vlogs and his “rambling” series occasionally.

However, Boogie is different from other YouTube personalities; he is an obese YouTuber who has had a hard childhood.

In his “Draw my Life” video, Boogie explains his life in a lot of detail, much more than other YouTubers would have. Boogie explains that his dad was a coal miner and a heavy alcoholic who later became deaf from the strokes in his brain and died.

Boogie recalls that his mom was abusive, and he had to jump out of a moving car to save his left eye from his mom trying to harm it. Unfortunately, his mom died also, so that left Boogie with no parents in his early 30’s.

Also in Boogie’s draw in my life he planned to commit suicide, but YouTube and his friend stopped him from doing so.

Boogie was lucky though, because he got married in October of 2013 to a fan named Dez. Unfortunately, we do not know a lot of Boogie’s wife, we don’t know her last name, her age, and many more little facts people want to know. Boogie also has a second channel called “Boogie Plays,” where Boogie uploads mostly unboxings but some gaming videos occasionally.

The main reason people know Boogie is because of his lisping character “Francis.” Francis is your stereotypical video game nerd, one who screams at video games and smashes things.  Boogie states that Francis was based on a colleague who bought from the gaming store Boogie worked at. Some of Boogie’s most popular videos are about Francis and his raging, some of them are “Francis gets the new Furby,”  “Where’s my Mountain Dew,” and “Fat guy spends $380 on Candy Crush,” just to name a few. Since Boogie’s YouTube success he has done a lot. He has been to Vidcon twice and also to Retropalooza twice as well. Something bad happened while Boogie was at Vidcon this year. He was hacked while at Vidcon, his channel was deleted by the hacker.

Thankfully for Boogie, he was at Vidcon, were everybody was happy help, and they got the channel in less than a day. Boogie is a great YouTuber who deserves every subscriber he has.
